What’s New?
We’re enhancing multi-user meeting management on mobile by introducing the ability to define a lead meeting invitee - the attendee whose response determines the overall meeting status.
Why It Matters
In meetings with multiple participants, status updates can become inconsistent when one person accepts while others haven’t yet responded. This new functionality establishes a clear hierarchy of responses, ensuring that a meeting’s acceptance or decline reflects the decision of the primary attendee - typically the key contact or decision-maker.
Core Functionality
- Primary vs. Secondary Invitees:
- Consistent Meeting Logic:
Each meeting can designate one Primary Invitee whose response controls the meeting’s status (Accepted or Declined).
Additional attendees are marked as Secondary Invitees, whose responses do not impact the global status.
Only the primary invitee’s decision updates the meeting state, ensuring reliable coordination and reducing confusion for both participants and organizers.
Why You’ll Love It
✅ Clearer meeting outcomes: no more conflicting statuses across participants within the same team
✅ Smarter workflows for hosted meetings: especially useful in high-volume or VIP scheduling
✅ Future-proof foundation for full multi-user meeting support on mobile
This improvement brings Grip one step closer to seamless, multi-attendee meeting management.
