What it does
Grip now automatically stops participants who use scripts to scrape your attendee list. Anyone caught is logged out straight away on web and mobile and their access to the event is suspended, before the damage is done.
Why it matters
- 🛡️ Layered protection. Grip uses eight independent layers of protection, and a scraper has to get past every one of them.
- 🚫 Stopped, not just slowed down. Suspected scrapers are logged out immediately and told their access is suspended for breaching the End User Licence Agreement. They're directed to you, the organiser, for support.
- 🎛️ You stay in control. Review, block and unblock participants from their profile page in the Engage admin, without contacting Grip.
- 📊 Full visibility. The Scraping Insights dashboard shows who triggered an alert, which layer stopped them, and whether the block was automatic or manual.
The result
Your attendee data is protected automatically, and you decide who stays at your event. Grip never contacts participants about blocks and never shares scraping data between organisers.
