What is does
The Grip attendee app has been rebuilt from the ground up. Everything attendees and exhibitors rely on today carries over, and it adds a new My Schedule, consistent offline support across the whole app, a guided onboarding flow, and smarter ways to find and meet the right people.
Why it matters
- πΆ An event-day companion, whatever the connectivity. Once a screen has loaded it stays available offline, so attendees can check their schedule, sessions and conversations when the venue Wi-Fi drops.
- π° Lead capture that never stops. Exhibitors can scan badges, qualify leads and review lead details fully offline. Everything syncs when the connection returns.
- π§ A smoother start that powers better matches. A guided onboarding flow captures the profile details and interests that drive recommendations, and connects exhibitors to their team from the first login.
- π People are easier to find. New filters and sorting on networking lists and chats, live online status, and similar-profile suggestions help attendees spot the right person and the right moment to reach out.
- ποΈ Meetings that are easier to manage. Invite several people to one meeting, join video meetings in the app, decline with a message, rebook, and see session and meeting clashes in one redesigned schedule.
- π Enterprise-ready sign-in. SAML and OpenID single sign-on options are fully tested, alongside the existing login methods.
The Result
A faster, more reliable app that keeps attendees connected to their event all day, helps them meet the right people, and gives exhibitors confidence that no lead is lost.
Key Feature Upgrades:
New My Schedule and meeting management: A redesigned My Schedule brings meetings and sessions into one view, with a date strip, quick filters and search across both. Meeting management goes further than before.
- π₯ Multi-person meetings. Invite several colleagues or contacts to a single meeting, straight from the app.
- π¬ Decline with a message, then rebook. Explain why a time doesn't work and quickly book a new slot.
- π₯ Video meetings in the app. Join virtual meetings directly in the mobile app, with no need to switch to a laptop or browser.
- β οΈ Clash warnings for sessions too. See when a session overlaps a meeting, not just meeting-to-meeting conflicts.
- β³ Session countdowns. Know exactly when your next session starts.
- π€ Pre-arranged meetings stand out. Hosted buyer and pre-scheduled meetings are highlighted so attendees see what has been set up for them.
Offline-first, built for the show floor: The app now works consistently when connectivity drops. Any screen an attendee has opened is available offline, and lead retrieval works fully offline from end to end.
- π° Scan, qualify and review leads offline. Badge scans, qualification questions and lead details all work without a connection and sync automatically later.
- π Your event in your pocket. Schedule, agenda, profiles, chat history, notifications and floor plans stay readable offline.
- π‘ Always know where you stand. A clear offline indicator appears across the whole app.
A guided onboarding experience: A step-by-step onboarding flow, shaped by each event's setup, helps attendees complete their profile from the first login.
- π― Better recommendations from day one. Richer profile fields, including linked parent and child options, give matchmaking more to work with.
- π’ Exhibitors join their team on arrival. Join a team or request access during onboarding, without hunting through settings.
- βοΈ Easy to update later. The same flow is available from My Profile whenever details change.
Finding the right people: New discovery tools make it easier to see who is worth meeting and when to reach out.
- π’ Live online status. See who is active right now on profiles and in chat.
- π§° Filter and sort everywhere. Narrow down networking lists and chats, not just global search.
- β¨ Similar profiles and preference matches. Profile pages suggest people like the one you're viewing and show how many of your preferences match.
Deep links into the app: Links in push notifications, automated messages and Grip URLs open directly on the right screen in the app, whether that's a profile, a session or a list.
- π£ Campaigns that land. Organisers can send attendees straight to the session or exhibitor they're promoting.
- π No dead ends. Grip web links shared at the event open in the app instead of a browser.
- π§ More link types. Navigation items can now include email addresses alongside website and embedded links.
